Dr Roshan Ariyaratnam

Dr Roshan Ariyaratnam is a General Surgeon with interests in Abdominal Wall and Complex Hernia Surgery. He was born and raised in the United Kingdom, where he completed his medical education at Imperial College London Medical School in 2008. In 2011, Roshan became a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. Seeking new challenges and opportunities, he migrated to Australia to pursue advanced surgical training in General Surgery. He obtained his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2022 after completing training through Western Health. Roshan has been mentored by some of the finest surgeons in the world and is able to offer the finest care in General Surgery to the region.

Peter Y. Milne originally trained in General Surgery but has specialised in Vascular Surgery since 1980. He was trained in Cardiovascular Surgery at the Methodist Hospital, Houston, Texas and in Vascular Surgery at Royal Melbourne and Epsom District Hospital, London UK. He established the Melbourne Vascular Surgery Unit in 1985.

Mr Milne's expertise and special interests include varicose vein treatment by surgery, laser and sclerotherapy including embolisation for pelvic congestion.

Mr Milne's arterial interests are aneurysm repair (by open surgery and endovascular means) as well as carotid surgery and/or stenting for stroke prevention. He also performs limb bypass surgery as well as minimally invasive techniques, of angioplasty and stenting.

Mr Richard Pennington is an orthopaedic surgeon specialising in all upper limb conditions from the shoulder to the elbow, wrist and hand including trauma. Richard completed his medical degree from Imperial College School of Medicine in London. His orthopaedic training was completed on the prestigious Guy's and St Thomas' Orthopaedic Training Program in the UK. He gained the fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons in 2010.

Richard and his family moved to Australia in 2012 where he completed two AOA accredited fellowships. The first in shoulder and elbow surgery at Monash Medical Centre in Melbourne, and the second in knee and sports reconstruction at North Sydney Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Centre, at The Mater Hospital in Sydney. As his practice has grown he has consolidated his skills and expertise to specialise solely in upper limb conditions.

Dr Jazmin Eckhaus

Cardiothoracic Surgeon

Jazmin is a subspecialist thoracic surgeon with public appointments at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne and Eastern Health. Since completing general cardiothoracic training in Australia, she has undertaken further training in thoracic oncology, chest trauma and minimally invasive thoracic surgery.

Her areas of interest include minimally invasive surgery including robotic and VATS surgery, lung cancer and pulmonary nodules, pleural disease such as pleural effusions, chest wall disease including thoracic outlet obstruction, airway lesions and thoracic endometriosis. Jazmin welcomes referrals for both operative candidates as well as those in whom intervention may not be indicated or desired, but who would benefit from the chance to discuss their concerns with a surgeon. Moksh is an epilepsy specialist with expertise and special interest in seeing patients seizure disorders.

He completed his neurology training at the Austin and St Vincent's hospitals, and then completed a clinical epilepsy fellowship at the Austin Hospital. He works as a consultant neurologist at Eastern and Northern Health. He specializes in the assessment and management of patients who have a suspected or confirmed first seizure, as well as those diagnosed with epilepsy or seizure disorders. He is involved in several clinical epilepsy research projects in Melbourne and has published in Australian and International Journals.

Mr Bart McKay is a General Surgeon with advanced expertise in surgery of the liver, pancreas, and bile ducts (hepatopancreaticobiliary or HPB surgery). He is accredited through the Australian and Aotearoa New Zealand Hepatic, Pancreatic & Biliary Association and provides care for patients with both benign and cancer-related conditions.

Mr McKay completed his general surgery training in Queensland before undertaking fellowship training in Melbourne and Calgary, Canada.

He treats a wide range of conditions involving the liver, pancreas, bile ducts, and gallbladder, with particular expertise in complex and advanced cases.
